“Japan has always been on the forefront of cutting edge robotics. Its roots can be traced back 200-300 years during the Edo period when skilled craftsmen created automata (self-operating machines). Using nothing more than pulleys and weights they were able to make the Karakuri (Japanese automata) perform amazing tasks.
Japans modern day robots can be traced back to the Karakuri. Today Hideki Higashino is one of the few remaining craftsmen who is determined to keep the history and tradition of Japanese Karakuri alive”.

Microsoft are going after the iPad with the new tablet the Asus Eee Slate, a fairly stupid name yes, but it looks the part. They even got a cool graffiti artist on board, Rabi. He loves the Slate by the look of things, he even put Photoshop on it! Ok, joking aside it may have the particulars but it all comes down to the quality of the touch-screen compared to the iPad. Check it out, there are a few more adverts of a similar format if you’re interested.
Alright so they are cool watches, they got a bit excited when making the ads but it’s all good, they are expressing the coolness. I am a fan of the watch as a design item and accessory, if I had billions I would spend a lot on watches but I don’t so I can’t. They cost millions of dollars each I’m sure.
